Short answer: November is when the coast turns into the place surfers talk about. Days around 23°C, water around 18°C, the first proper point-break swells of the winter, and none of the Christmas crowds yet. A week at The Pearl costs the same as any other week: from €420 (dorm) all-inclusive for surf, from €510 (dorm) with daily yoga.
We run two surf houses in Tamraght, just south of Taghazout. If October is the month the coast wakes up, November is the month it gets serious. Here is what to expect.

Long-run averages for the Agadir coast, not a promise for one day. In practice: warm on the beach, cool once the sun drops, and a wetsuit that you are glad to have for the first ten minutes and forget about afterwards.
The waves
This is the change from October. The Atlantic starts sending the north-west swells the region is known for, and the famous points around Taghazout begin to work with some consistency. Improvers get their first real point-break sessions, long walls instead of whitewater pushes.
Beginners are not left out. The beach breaks around Tamraght still give the forgiving whitewater a first week needs, and on the biggest days the coach takes the group to the sheltered corners of the bay. Two hours of coaching plus two hours of supervised free surf a day, with the coach choosing the spot for the tide and the group.
The crowd
Quieter than you would think. The European school holidays and the Christmas peak have not started, so November is the month regulars come back for: working waves, room in the line-up, a village that is relaxed rather than busy. Our houses are usually a mix of solo travellers; about 70% of our guests arrive alone.

Included: your room, three meals a day, two hours of coaching and two hours of supervised surf daily, boards and wetsuits, and airport pickup from Agadir. Not included: flights, insurance and personal spending. A €100 deposit per guest holds your spot, with a full refund up to 30 days before arrival and free date changes 30 or more days out. Shorter stays of 3 to 5 nights run from €225 (dorm) on The Quick Escape, where the airport transfer is an add-on at €30 one way.
October or November?
Both are good; they are different. October is warmer in the water and gentler in the waves, the easier choice for a nervous first week. November is a little cooler and brings the points to life, the better choice if you already stand up and want to progress. If you are choosing for the rooftop rather than the waves, October has the longer evenings.
What to pack for November
A 3/2 wetsuit is on the house. Add a warm layer and something with a hood for the rooftop after sunset, a light rain jacket for the odd shower, and the usual: reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, flip-flops. The full list is in our packing guide.
Getting here
Agadir Al Massira airport is about 40 minutes from the house and pickup is included on the week packages. The week runs 7 days, 6 nights; most guests arrive on a Saturday or Sunday. Details in our airport guide.
