Short answer: a good all-inclusive surf camp week in the Taghazout–Tamraght area costs €450–€650 per person. Budget hostel-camps start around €350; premium resort-style retreats run €700–€1,200+. Our weeks at The Pearl run €420–€630 all-inclusive, and piecing the same week together à la carte usually costs more once you price the coaching honestly.
We run a surf camp in Tamraght, so we see the pricing question from both sides of the counter. Most camps make you fill in an enquiry form to learn a number. We'd rather just show you the numbers — ours and everyone else's — so you can compare properly.
The price table: what a week costs by tier
Prices below are per person, per week, for the Taghazout–Tamraght coast. They shift a little with room type and season, but this is the honest spread you'll find in 2026:

Where do we sit? Deliberately across the first two tiers: The Surf Reset — seven days, six nights, everything included — starts at €420 per person in a shared room, and The Full Reset with five sunset yoga sessions starts at €510. With a private ensuite the week tops out around €630. Same coaching, same food, same van whichever room you pick — the price difference is only the bed. If you've got fewer days, The Quick Escape covers 3–5 nights from €225.
What "all-inclusive" should actually include
The word gets stretched. Before you compare two camp prices, check the cheaper one actually covers all of this:
- Accommodation — with the room type stated, not "from" pricing that only applies to one dorm bed in November.
- Three meals a day — lunch is the one that quietly goes missing. You'll be starving after a morning session; a "breakfast and dinner" camp costs you €10–€15 a day in cafés.
- Daily surf coaching — actual instruction with the same coach through the week, not board hire with a lifeguard watching from the sand.
- All equipment — board and a wetsuit that fits, swapped freely as you progress.
- Daily transfers to the breaks — the swell moves along this coast; a camp that only surfs the beach out front isn't taking you to the best wave that day.
- Airport pickup — free on our week packages (Agadir Al Massira is 40 minutes away). If it's a paid extra elsewhere, price it back in.
If any line on that list is missing, add its real cost to the headline price before you compare. That's usually where a €380 week quietly becomes a €500 one.
Where the cheap weeks cut
Sub-€350 weeks exist. They usually mean: dorms of ten-plus, one coach for a crowd, "lessons" that are really supervised board hire, lunch not included, and a different instructor every day so nothing builds. If the price looks impossible, something on that list is missing.
Hidden costs to budget (whatever camp you pick)
The camp price is most of it, but not all of it. Budget these on top:
- Flights — Agadir (AGA) is served by budget carriers from most of Europe; €60–€250 return depending on city and how early you book. Winter (our prime-swell season, October–March) is when fares climb, so book those early.
- Airport transfer — free both ways on our week packages. On short escapes it's €30 one-way with our driver; a taxi you arrange yourself runs about €30–€40.
- Travel insurance with surf cover — required at most camps, including ours. A tenner a week, and non-negotiable.
- Tips — not obligatory in Morocco, but a few dirhams for the cook and the coach who got you to your feet is always right.
- Extra activities — €15–€30 each for the classics: a hammam scrub, a Paradise Valley trip, sunset horses on the beach.
- Spending money and souvenirs — mint teas, a taxi into Taghazout, argan oil and a rug you didn't plan to buy: €50–€100 covers a generous week.
Surf lesson prices if you go à la carte
Maybe you're weighing a camp against booking everything separately. Here's what the pieces cost in the Taghazout–Tamraght area in 2026:
- Group lesson — €25–€40 for a two-hour session, gear included.
- Private lesson — €70–€100 per session.
- Board + wetsuit hire — €10–€15 a day.
- Guesthouse room — €25–€35 a night for anything you'd want to sleep in.
- Eating out — €12–€18 a day if you eat well.
- Taxis chasing the swell — €5–€10 a day, more when the good wave is up the coast.
Now the maths. Six nights' room (€150–€210), meals (€84–€126), five group lessons (€125–€200), gear hire for the days between lessons (€30–€60), taxis (€30–€60) and an airport run each way (€60–€80): the DIY week lands at roughly €480–€740 — against €420 for the same week at The Surf Reset, with a coach who knows your surfing by Wednesday and a van that's already decided where the best wave is. À la carte doesn't just cost more; it costs you the group, the van and the planning time.
Where à la carte does make sense: you're an experienced surfer with your own board who wants no schedule at all. For everyone learning or improving, the package wins on price before you count anything else.
How paying for it actually works (at least with us)
A €100 deposit per guest reserves your week; the balance is settled in cash on arrival (euros or dirhams — the villages here run on cash). Cancellation is free up to 30 days before. - Usually 20–40% cheaper like-for-like, with warmer winter water and more consistent winter swell — which is why so many European surfers migrate south from October.
- Do I need cash in Morocco?
- Yes. Balances at most camps (ours included) are settled on arrival in cash, EUR or MAD. Cards work in Agadir and bigger towns; Tamraght and Taghazout run on cash, and the nearest reliable ATMs take a taxi ride.
- When is it cheapest to book a surf camp in Morocco?
- Camp prices barely move — ours stay flat year-round at twelve guests a week, every week. Flights are the variable worth timing: April–September fares are lower, and the surf then is smaller, warmer and beginner-friendly.
